How IPTV works in the UK, and what your subscription includes
IPTV delivers television over your broadband connection instead of an aerial or a satellite dish. With a Streamlixa subscription you receive personal login details, which you enter in a player app on a device you probably already own: a smart TV, a Fire TV Stick, an Android box, a phone, a tablet or a laptop. There is no dish to fit and no set-top box to rent, as long as your device can install a compatible app.
Choosing a plan mostly comes down to how many screens will be watching at the same time: one for a single viewer, two or three for a shared household. You then pick the length, from one month to twelve. Each plan is set out on the plans page, and our set-up guides walk you through the app on each type of device.

In the UK you need a TV Licence to watch or record programmes as they are shown live on any channel or service, whatever device you use, and to use BBC iPlayer. Check the official TV Licensing website to confirm what applies to you.

Usually not. If your TV can’t install a suitable app, a streaming stick or Android box plugged into an HDMI port is the simplest way to add one. Everything else runs over your existing broadband.
One with Solo, two with Duo and three with Trio. You can install the app on more devices than that, but only your plan’s number of screens can play at the same time. The plans page has the full comparison.
Stability matters more than the maximum speed advertised by your provider. Allow more headroom for 4K or for several screens at once. If the picture stutters over Wi-Fi, move the router closer or connect the device with an Ethernet cable.
